Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a charge or fee for your services? |
| One of the key ingredients to being supportive to youth and families who are in crisis is accessibility to services. We provide our services for free and do not bill private insurance or Medicaid. |
Do you only work with runaways? |
| Absolutely not. As well as working with runaways and homeless youth, Tumbleweed aims to prevent running and homelessness by offering services to any youth in crisis. |
Do you provide on going counseling? |
| Our crisis counselors work much like a triage unit. They assess crisis situations and needs, create stability within the crisis, and then refer out to other resources in the community according to the individual or family needs. We do not provide on going counseling or regular therapy. |
Do we take drop-ins? |
| Yes we do. Our main office is open from 8am until 5pm, Monday through Friday. Counselors are also available via phone twenty-four-hours, seven days a week. You can also check out some other services during regular business hours such as signing up for parenting classes. |

If I have something to donate who do I call and what kind of donations do you accept? |
All donations are greatly appreciated and make what we do possible. If you have a donation and are wondering if we are in need, please don't hesitate to call our main office number at 259-2558.
